Just small conventional ones. How small depends if you want the magnet to reach to the trunk or stay in the arm.

and btw, great shot computerhair, reminds me of paul's resin riders.

I actually found a few of them at my place and used those. Sorry I can't help you there, but i imagine any arts and crafts place must have them. Michaels maybe?

 

Use a a "rare earth" magnet.
Much stronger.

 

these are what i found lying around (but smaller radius), because of the shape i'd say they work better.

 

Yeah like brian said. Small round ones. smaller than 1/4 inch work best.

And...3 years... Whoa time flies. Congrats on the success of this toy. I still remember watching Kirkland's video from SDCC pertaining to the boss. A lot of thought and detail goes into this toys and I like many can't wait for the slugbeard/jinx/AND domino jack.
