They say he died in front of the TV with a beer in his hand. As much as the news is horrid, I find that comforting. Some may hate MRR, but Bruce was always a shining light, kind, supportive and forever positive. I started a label in the late 90s and Bruce was one of the first to rant and rave about it, the help and direction he gave me, I'll never forget. When I finally got to meet him in person and buy him a long overdue beer, his kindness and passion for shitty rock n roll was as intoxicating as the pints. MRR Tribute Page I know a lot of people seemed to pass over the past few days, but I'll be raising a pint to Bruce tonight. and playing some Wretched Ones
He always wrote my favorite reviews and along with George Tabb was my favorite contributor to MRR. He recently wrote a review of a close friends band and was stoked to see he liked it.
