    bubble wrap ?
Can you give me some advice on the do's and don'ts of long-term storage toy storage, especially with bubble wrap?
Will bubble wrap stick to and/or damage my vinyl in storage? Is there a brand I should avoid?

I've run out of shelf space and need to put some figures in climate-controlled storage using bubble wrap and cardboard boxes. The majority are soft vinyl and a few are hand paints. Any tips would be appreciated, thanks.

All I can add is don't use packing peanuts, I learned the hard way. Put some figures in a box of peanuts and when I pulled them out some time later they had peanuts stuck to them. Some still had 'nut material on them when I pulled the packing peanuts off.

I wouldn't wrap them directly in the bubble wrap. I worry that the cheaper varieties may degrade over time and adhere to the figures. Some of the cheaper bubble wrap feels sticky, for lack of a better word, and that always makes me nervous.

I usually keep my stored figures in thick plastic zip bags, which are then wrapped in bubble wrap. For figures with delicate paint (i.e., handpaints), I also wrap them in acid-free tissue paper before putting them into the zip bags (wrapped in bubble wrap) so that the paint/plastic does not contact the bag plastic directly.
