I hope everyone getting hit by the storm is staying dry. The down pour started in San Diego this morning about 6:30 am. This is nothing compared to rain storms in NOLA. But try to stay dry and drive safely...
I live in Ocean Beach. I work in Rancho Bernardo. When it rained last week, there were 3 wrecks on my way home. Today, everyone was going 50-60 mph. So things were good.
Completely overhyped in San Jose. They closed schools yesterday in SF/Oakland etc but it wasn't even that bad.
Loving it and hoping we get several more. We need it so desperately. A report was just released saying that this was the worse drought in 1200 years. Yes 1200. On another note all the power outages piss me off. I swear we didn't get even a small percentage of these black outs before the Republicans sold off the US power grid to private companies.
Much over-hyped here as well. A whole bunch of reports and talk of "the big storm". Everyone being told to get home early and batten down the hatches. Then, it was just a normal, rainy day/night. Wait- it rained all day and night in Fresno?!!!! Maybe this was the storm of the century... Glad we got a little rain. And by any real standard, it was a little rain compared to the huge hole we are in, water table wise. Hoping for as much more rain as we can get.
Great to get the much needed rain down here in LA. Im super stoked (ya go ahead make fun :p) that it also snowed finally in the mountains! Was able to finally strap in today for the first time this season Of course the storm is no where as bad as the midwes/south/east coast gets it BUT lots of buildings did flood especially with all the underground parking, 1000s with out power and even a tornado in south central!!
