can anybody ID this ?

very cute looking weasel from japanese tv show .

 

heres his partner in crime but it also looks like there may be a third character in the show .

 

A little translation and digging found this:

"Chirorin Mura To Kurumi No Ki" ("Chirorin Village and the Walnut Tree"), a children's puppet show broadcast on NHK between 1959 and 1964.
