    Hey gang -

So yesterday my girlfriend gave me an early Christmas gift of...one of the L/E plated CCP Hedorahs! That was awesome to get plus I finally own one of their hard-to-find plated vinyl.

    So here are some details:

    1. It really is plated. This is not a spray-on finish and I'd swear it's like they did a chrome process.
    2. When I compared the weight between the exact same model (in vinyl) the chromed version is 1.5 if not 2x heavier.
    3. There is no detail lost between the vinyl and chrome version.
    4. Setting off the LED is damn hard - be prepared for bruised knuckles :D
    5. No idea on whether or not fingerprints will possibly "etch" the finish. See, the oils that are in your skin / sweat can etch metal (which you learn in metalsmithing 101).

I'll shoot some photos and post 'em in a bit!

Any pics yet? and what DID the weight come out to on the plated one?
This whole time I thought it was just a finish similar to an automotive plastic grill/trim with chromed appearance, I never thought it'd actually be a metallic material. Thats really cool.
