So they recently screwed up and didn't bid on an auction for me, an auction that I wanted very badly. So I emailed them to ask what happened and they kindly replied that they messed up and were very sorry. They said they would not charge me the markup fee on one of my other auction wins. So I got my latest invoice and they discounted the entire markup fee of $50.00. While I am left without the SB figure, at least they did something pretty fair to compensate for it. Really they could have just told me that it was a simple mistake & wouldn't happen again, and I would not have been able to do anything about it.
Celga is a class company. I can't imagine the number of issues that must arise with all the toys and anime stuff they process, but they're always so pleasant.
They've always been great!!They'll even wait and watch an auction to bid at the last minute so you're not payingtop bid right away..love em!!!
Yeps, big time i got screwed once and they offered me the same deal it was still a bitter pill, but they showed me that they are dedicated to their customers and willing to show it
I just got screwed again by Celga on this auction. http://page10.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/m34260083 I'm not sure what's going on lately with them. Granted they have helped me obtain a lot of cool toys, but this is the 2nd time in a 3 week period. I'm seriously considering going with another bidding service.
I use Shopping Mall Japan. You can place your own bid in real time. I really don't understand why just about everyone around here uses Celga. Why not look at the options and make your own choice? I don't have a problem with Celga. They seem like a pretty good company. But there are other options.
brooks, what happened with that auction on the skullbrains? were you "first" in line? Was this price more than you were willing to pay? I'm curious as to what happened as I have a couple of bids with Celga right now.
i could count on two hands the number of times you have said "I really don't understand why just about everyone around here uses Celga." i would hazard a guess that many of us have passed down the finer points of dealing with celga to our friends, etc. and many of us use multiple services. In my case someone someone "taught" me and i have taught at least 3 or 4 other people. thats why. as far as i can tell, there are other options, but for some of us (my friends and family??) there aren't enough significant differences to make us change from the people we trust (the employees of celga) and the company policies we know (again, those of celga) to another, different main bidding service. and many of use have Celga Gold. it rocks, i love having my own screen name. Ryan you write: "Why not look at the options and make your own choice?" Do you think people are perhaps being coerced against their will?? Celga is really part of the mob and those who use it are being threatened with violence? Of course there are other options, and everyone is perfectly free to explore them as you so caringly suggest. Is someone stopping them?? i write this because i'm really not sure what you are trying to accomplish whenever you have this little anti celga fit. use celga, don't use celga. who cares, people can choose what they want and i think they are big enough to do it by themselves.
I was first in line, and had a higher max bid. Emily from Celga simply sent me an email saying that they were having Internet issues at the time of the end of the auction.
FYI, Rinkya has an automatic bidding system. As soon as you hit "submit" on the form your bid is placed.
Was this the other auction they let you down on? http://page11.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/n43305922 That seller has been throwing some great sets out there. IKe
No, but I don't think people are taking the time to explore their options. I wouldn't characterize anything I've ever said as anti-Celga. I can't recall ever making a negative comment about Celga. Anyway, I think it's fairly obvious what I'm trying to accomplish. I'm trying to get people to explore their options. I asked for Roger's FAQ to be turned into a sticky, for example. It lists four of the major bidding companies.
i would describe that as "anti-celga" because it clearly expresses a negative opinion of their service, without any justification. i don't really care one way or the other but the "why doesn't everybody else do exactly the same thing as me" attitude is annoying.
You have selectively quoted me. I expanded on that comment. Maybe this will be clearer for you...I don't understand why just about everyone on this forum uses Celga exclusively IN LIGHT OF THE FACT that there are other bidding services in existence. I'm not putting Celga down. In fact, I went on to say in that same post that Celga seems to me to be a pretty good company. I am simply asking, "Why not put some of these other bidding services to use as well?" Look at this thread where cornbluth asked about Celga. Did I discourage cornbluth from using Celga? No. Did I make any negative comments about Celga? No. I did, however, make him aware of the fact that there are other bidding services available. If that annoys you, then too bad.
