If you're a fan of Yo Gabba Gabba and the Aquabats, check out Christian Jacob's interview and see his collection, some cool stuffs in here http://roadtripnation.com/ChristianJacobs
Thanks Ted! That was an awesome little video. Christian seems like a pretty cool guy. Cool seeing him pull out the mini-ramp skills.
^^ Sweet poster ^^ Thanks for sharing that video Ted Aquabats kick arse! Christian has a pretty sweet collection there! Pizza Day.... The best day of the week
some of their older gig posters have early/rough looking gabba gabba characters.. great artists. Great collection too!
during aquabat shows, monsters and bad guys would interrupt half way through and they would fight on stage, something like kaiju big battel.... its pretty cool .... and also christian's bro, parker jacobs is an illustrator. he did some of the gig posters, as well as co created yo gabba and was an illustrator for paul frank. so you can definitely see the same influences in all these things.... very talented duo of bros http://parkerjacobs.blogspot.com/
Yeah I recognized a few off the bat when I started watching (which was before my daughter was born.) I really liked that interview, it was cool. Thanks for posting, I love the "sink or swim" attitude, it's gotten me plenty in life.
seriously, good advice too.. make shit happen, you can't wait around on others. If you fail, suck it up and drive on.
Sorry for boosting an old thread, but I was looking for this when the thread first came up and I couldn't find it. I just ran across it today and thought some of you would like it. It's a fake toy commercial for aquabats toys. http://www.gamespot.com/users/Donkeljoh ... zD_5bgFuzY
They used to do a lot of those during their sets. I remember one time they played some Tiger Seven clips behind them while they performed, it was badass.
