thats right kiddos, its that time again! another journey deep into the heart of the vinyl cosmos, who knows what strange new life forms await our discovery? this week we travel deep into the center of dark, distant, and sludgy galaxy to find: the BEAR MODEL X BEAMS X UNNON HEDORAH!!!! a truly gnarly creature, the bear model hedorah has always been one of my favorite hedorah sculpts. its lumpy, gross, spikey and cute all rolled into one colorful nasty package. I love how there is a definite overal form, with clear head, arms, legs and tail, but there are also some areas that are a total mess. look at the mouth! whats going on there? i have no idea and i love it!! but the thing that kills it for me is the arms. the way theyre sculpted makes it look like he's looking for a hug. maybe he wasnt an evil monster from space after all. maybe he was just born out of all our nasty garbage and sludge, and never had a mother, and started destroying things because he was scared! or maybe hes a gross evil pollution thing bent on destroying our world. but i kind of like the hugging version better. the Beams x Unnon version came in two colorways. both are made from a crystally translucent white vinyl, one with white, pink, blue, and green spray that reminds me of ice cream or a bomb pop, and the other with pink, yellow, and gold spray. The yellow/gold version also goes a tiny step further with two mismatched eyes for extra weirdo points. a beautiful sculpt and two very striking color schemes make this pair one a couple of the greatest and grossest kaiju toys around. so there you have it! our journey is complete. now sound off! let me hear you say 'yeah'! or 'nah! p.s. - pm me if you want to invite either of these guys over to your house!
i have both of these! absolute gorgeous toys... cool, bright colors and amazing sculpts. i let them maul smoking corps guys (their clasping "arms" will just barely hold them in place) ^^ maybe i'll post a pic later.. the pink and yellow is my fave, the gold paint really sets it off ^^
