Hello, Skullbrain. November is Chronic Regional Pain Syndrome / Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy Awareness Month, which is the predominant disease I suffer from, having full body crps. My story is a long one and although I am happy to share it with y'all when I am feeling up to the amount of typing that is going to take, nothing is as impactful as seeing reality thru your own eyes. So I am trying to make a point with everyone I speak with this month to spread the word about a relatively new film on the subject called "Trial By Fire" (which is apparently a pretty popular title for a number of films). This "Trial By Fire" provides a detailed look into the lives of people with crps / rsd and how important it is for everyone to be aware of the disease, which would forward not only public awareness and knowledge, but education throughout the medical community and research for preventive measures, better help for those afflicted, and the Hope of Hope - a cure. You can rent "Trial By Fire" on Vimeo, Here: https://vimeo.com/ondemand/trialbyfiremovie. Proceeds of which go towards furthering research. Please don't illegally download this. If you are unable to watch the film at this time however, I ask that you please take a couple of minutes and watch the Trailer for "Trial By Fire", Here: Knowledge is power and crps / rsd is too powerful not to know about; Anyone can get it and from an injury as small as a cut or a bruise. For me it all stemmed from a spinal injury while doing heavy maintenance work in the Summer of 2002 in Alaska. You never think it could be you. Health Tip : The best preventative at this time is to take high-dose vitamin C following any injury. The recommended intervention consists of a daily, 500-mg dose of vitamin C for a duration of 50 days. Thank You for giving me your attention for a little bit. I hope that you will share this with others, but If anything, I hope that you and anyone that you love will never have to personally experience what is also called "The Suicide Disease", "Hell On Earth", and the "Most Painful Disease In The World". It will prevent you from moving, you will lose control of your motor functions, it will change your brain chemistry and negatively affect other internal organs, while shortening your lifespan and being more painful than childbirth, cancer, and amputation,.. and that is still just a part of it. To The Moon, JP
I can offer you more sympathy than I can type JP, thank you for this post. With Appreciation and Admiration, John Lots of information on here: http://www.aboutrsd.com
thanks for sharing, I am in a similar situation myself , it is good to have a documentary to show people as often descrbing symptoms to friends or new people is difficult.
