Re: CURE BOOGIE-MAN DATABASE Interesting. So essentially he had the second head sculpt completed by the time the first Boogie Man was released and openly unveiled it for the Optic Camouflage version but it was a hidden variant from the start. If there are any completists left they probably will be really unhappy if they didn't know this.
Re: CURE BOOGIE-MAN DATABASE Almost- it was actually Col. Mustard, in the Study with the Candle stick.
Re: CURE BOOGIE-MAN DATABASE haha! nice one luke! I guess you could of explained to me had YOU BEEN THERE WHEN I WAS! :p
Re: CURE BOOGIE-MAN DATABASE I think it's pretty much impossible to ever be a completist with any toy unless you're the creator of said toy and keep one of everything...!!! I tried to keep up with the boogies but missed out on the GBT and the clear with GID and they both sell for around $500 now and I will never pay that price so I'm pretty much screwed in that "completist" regard... and proto boogies...!!! ahahahahahaaaaah... yeah' right, like that's ever gonna happen.
Re: CURE BOOGIE-MAN DATABASE God! This head looks spectacular painted like this. The tiny pupils make him look CraZy!!! Like every Boogie should.
Re: CURE BOOGIE-MAN DATABASE Actually I believe this was the first of all head sculpts. Correct me if I'm wrong, but was this not the first Boogie?
Re: CURE BOOGIE-MAN DATABASE If anyone was going to come in-store tommorow to grab a boogie we are changing the release time to 12 noon. Lamour said he had to split early. Word
Re: CURE BOOGIE-MAN DATABASE Are you asking if that's the first production Boogie Man released or first prototype or what? I can't tell from that photo if its the ring nose head sculpt pictured but the first production Boogie Man looked quite a bit different. Its possible the head used on the first GBT is the rare variant while the ring nose is common. No idea which was created first but the photo looks like a prototype. Obviously the early Boogie Man releases had masks and a cloth hood as well so what you see underneath the mask is an eye unless you take the cloth hood off. No idea which was used more often or first since I haven't taken the hoods off and don't own multiples. Maybe Luke can find out.
Re: CURE BOOGIE-MAN DATABASE Man, I kind of wish I had the septum ringed OverSea version now. Being that I do have a septum ring, I am inclined to say that it's probably my favorite of the head sculpts. Who wants to trade? Huh? Huh?
Re: CURE BOOGIE-MAN DATABASE I guess just the first Boogie in general. I can tell it's the septum ring ver. as the eyes are symmetrical, as opposed to the one with a bulging left eye. According to sancx33's compilation of Boogies, I think this would be considered the first (Sample Boogie - black w/brown toga/hood). It's also the first product viewed on Cure's blog: I know there were only a few of these to go around (less tha 5pcs, maybe give or take a few). From the look of this one, it appears to be the other head (the eye under the mast seems to be protruding slightly upward). Judging from Luke's comment, perhaps all the masked Boogies had at least two variations in circulation. If that's the case, I could never be a Boogie completionist... I would drive myself mad!
Re: CURE BOOGIE-MAN DATABASE I think that its impossible to be Boogie completionist, but i ll "try" to complete as much as i can. that why now I stop buying other toys unless its anraku (which are rarely seen) or ojo rojo. others than that I ll save my $ for the boogies. I think the hood on the nyc itself have 2 version, with the eye hole and none. I do have a pic found from another boogie topic that have eye hole and head without nose ring, mine definitely none and nose ring head.
Re: CURE BOOGIE-MAN DATABASE Wow guess I'm easily distracted. Here's a few sorta blurry night time pics i need to either fix my camera or buy a new one this is getting ridiculous. Mishka Boogie... & X-Ray boogie here's some pics off the mishka blog too, Mine, & I looks like i just woke up because i did haha
Re: CURE BOOGIE-MAN DATABASE I just got the X-Ray Boogie. It's very nice but I thought it was going to come with some kind of binder or catalog. Did anyone else not get a binder? I wanted some free shit that would sit on my shelfs and collect dust until I threw it out.
Re: CURE BOOGIE-MAN DATABASE forgot to mention joel was awesome enough to hand paint the hatchet on myboogie man with some masking and red v color so it says lamour
Re: CURE BOOGIE-MAN DATABASE Hey...just got my X-Ray and was wondering how to get these guts to light up...am I supposed to install a battery or something? Is it just a GID?
Re: CURE BOOGIE-MAN DATABASE Damn! I was hoping that was "standard issue" on these, that's a nice touch by Joel.
