Pretty straightforward; trans green and flat black sprays, gold and silver details. I used some little O-rings to add to the gloves and boots. Hope you guys like it and thanks for looking.
Thanks, man. I find that when you start out with sculpts as awesome as some of these, sometimes subtlety is the way to go. The silver-sparkle vinyl on this one was so beautiful on it's own, I felt that it would be a shame to cover it up too much. I feel like I learn something with each toy I paint. Lately I've been trying to understand how to balance my colors over the entire figure and how to work with the base color of the vinyl.
I have been coming back to this thread. I really like this sculpt and I'm amazed it never really caught on. The paint app is awesome, super clean. But next time I think the lines on the center could be a tad thinner. As is I think the thickness of them against the small size of the figure is a tad overpowering ( but this is a minor critique that is a opinion not a deal breaker) . As well just a tad of a third contrast color would have pulled this together just a tad bit more. Like if you painted the eyes, tips of hands and feet and the center text metallic red. Great stuff though keep it up
Thanks for taking the time to post a thoughtful critique, Rich. I really appreciate it. Solid advice and personal opinions from great artists, like yourself, are really valuable and hard to come by. Like I said before, I'm learning with each toy I paint. I get what you're saying and we'll see what I can come up with on the next one.
