i just finished watching Justice League: New Frontier, and i thought it was amazing. i think i would rather WB work on moving more of the DC mythos to the screen via these animated features rather than the live-action crap they have been spewing out. they can put out more epic sagas this way. New Frontier would have been a disaster with a huge budget if done hollywood style. I'm really looking forward to more stuff with this format. Crisis On Infinite Earths & the green lantern origins would work great as animated features....

i have yet to see a live-action movie based on dc characters that has appealed to me. the animated films give you stories throughout the dc timeline, where the hollywood films try to tell the stories from origin, yet mix up continuity. and i am a dcu continuity fanatic. yes, this origin telling stuff applies to marketing of the film, but that doesn't mean i have to like it. since i hold such a strong grasp on the comics, the movies don't make sense to me. if i were to make the batman movies, for example, and take it from the origins of batman, i would involve characters like the crimson avenger and slam bradley, and my movie would flop, but at least i would like it. :D

Except then there's that pile of crap, "Death of Superman". New Frontier WAS pretty good, though.
