Re: Designer Con.. It starts at 10:00 how early should I get there? Is there a huge line when it starts?
Re: Designer Con.. I plan on going again this year. As far as lining up goes, I have heard that people start to line up at 6am. It just depends on what you are trying to score though. If it's some micro run that a lot of people are gonna try and get, I would probably suggest you line up pretty early.
Re: Designer Con.. damn, i want to drive up just to hang out with some of the LASK members. dont know if i'll be able to make it since its my wifes birthday.
Re: Designer Con.. Bosses sold out in minutes within opening last year.... I thought I was gonna be good getting in 30 minutes late, nope
Re: Designer Con.. Same fucking thing happened to me last year. I got in the doors on time and the bosses were already sold out.
Re: Designer Con.. Now that you said 6 am, people will show up at 4. Wait, now that I've said 4... It was all about Paul Kaiju releases last year, with a sprinkling of Bwana Spoons. This year I hope for the same, with the addition of Grody Shogun. Mentioning that should raise the hype level of this thread, right?
Re: Designer Con.. We are going and I hope I don't forget our camera this year. Like last year. T __ T
Re: Designer Con.. Yes! More hype with a side of crazy please. I guess i'll just bring a sleeping bag and spend the night in front of the convention center. Hobo style bonfire anyone?
Re: Designer Con.. I can bring a fire barrel. I would love a boss. I don't think I can make it there at 6a.m. that's crazy. I wish the booths would do it like Mori and release them slowly throughout the event. I am driving 24 hours from Oklahoma getting to our hotel in L.A. Friday around noon. I am not sure what time I will make it to d-con.
Re: Designer Con.. Since Lulubell is there again this year, you can bet we'll see some mouth watering Grodys

Re: Designer Con.. Yeah, 24hr straight drive. It is worth it. Me and my girl take shifts driving. This will be our 3rd drive to L.A. this year. Oklahoma is very boring. It's a fun trip. On the way back we stay a night in New Mexico at her Aunt's house. We will be in L.A. for five days. I can't wait. I am a little worried about going through Flagstaff now that it is colder. I hope it will be O.K. Driving is cheaper than flying and renting a car. Plus we can come and go when we want. We don't have to worry about our stuff being damaged during transport. Last time I picked up a 5'x6' un stretched canvas from a artist that I like. I didn't have to worry about shipping or any damage. It is a long haul but it's fun.
Re: Designer Con.. Awesome! At least you have a diving partner. I had to drive from Portland, OR back down to LA in one day solo. That was hell for me. Any ideas on what we should do post D-con? Go somewhere for food and drinks? Any ideas?
Re: Designer Con.. It's funny that you say that because some guys meth lab exploded the day before I left Portland haha.
Re: Designer Con.. I'll be working at the TAG booth this year. I'll be getting in early so I can snatch up all the best goodies before the doors open. Tag is having an in store 10% of after party for all D-Con goers. Stop by and say hello at or Melrose location.
Re: Designer Con.. I will be checking out tag and your tattoo's for sure. I have a new fight figure tattoo to show you!
Re: Designer Con.. No guarantee, but I'm shooting to have a Cadaver Kid at the TAG booth, I think they should be done in time, but I don't want to promise it, so crunched I'm not even painting them, asking the factory to paint and ship directly to TAG.
