Just saw this on Ilanena's flickr: If this is a one-off, I will be very sad. EDIT: Hmm, Ilanena x Kaiju Big Battel is the tag... Sweet!
Sorry to ruin your day but this is a one off. I gave him a blank clear w/glitter when we met up in Tokyo. I had a meeting the day before with Marmit and They gave me some unpainted leftovers from the different colorways. Ilanena just painted it for fun. I'll bet he would part with it for the right price or you could strip your onell version and have him paint that. But the good news is we are working together on a couple of three pack of some of my other characters. the short list is Call-Me-Kevin, Giii, Unibouzu, Steam Powered Tentical Boulder, Cyclptopuss and Grudyin (subject to change) Due sometime this summer, hopfully SDCC.
Ah, thanks for the reference photos. I am definitely excited if this means we will be getting Ilanena minis of these guys. Too bad about the Deviler, though.
Saw that pict last night and was going to ask if anyone knew when this was going to be release...oh well. Beautifully done.
Not the same but Marmit will release a clear blue Deviler at the next Pachimon summit. Edition of 30. I have yet to see the paint ap but will post when I receive it. Just to clarify things, no more Sky Devilers will be made for U.S. distro but Marmit has permission to make them for Japan only. This just in, on the Ilanena front the first set will be Unibouzu, Call-me-kevin, and Giii. The second set will consist of Steam Powered Tentical Boulder, vegitius and Grudyin
ironking - you made my day! mini = awesome I caught the show at the Warsaw in my crappy neighborhood a few months ago when Steam Powered Tentacle Boulder hit the scene (brilliant, by the way). http://blogs.amctv.com/scifi-scanner/2007/11/scifi-dept-alie.php not sure if you saw this (or anyone for that matter) but AMC was at the show. gawd, just watching this again makes me realize that my girlfriend is clueless and I have a really deep voice...
guilty! Kevin (the interviewer) had asked me a ton of "who would win" questions and for some reason they went with that one. Oh well, another 15 seconds of fame.
On the topic of robots/monkeys, last year my brother and I happened to go to a national 'Battlebots' type competition for high-school age students that was held in Miami Beach. It was fun, but the best laughs were from the reactions we'd get every time we asked one of the participants, completely serious and deadpan, "When will they bring in the monkeys for the robot versus monkey battles?"
