It's funny, this thread is more on point thant you'd think. Die Antwoord is coming out with a vinyl toy (produced in Japan if I remember) of their Evil Boy Big Dick character from their recent video with Diplo. It's basically Casper the friendly ghost with a bigger-than-life penis. Edit: Oh wait: Winu already covered this. I saw the prototype in person though, it's hilarious.
They will be in SF tomorrow, with a release of their toy: http://www.upperplayground.com/blog...ation-fifty24sf-gallery-wednesday-february-22
No,,,but picture casper the ghost with a huge oversized erect penis It's called evil boy...made in Japan by good smile company
I saw another of their videos recently and then they were on Letterman a week or so ago. I think I'm starting to like them.
I loved Die Antwoord's first album but this new one is meh. Only a few good tracks on it for me. I wish they'd release the track that was used as the main theme for that short film they did. I'm actually excited for this toy though! So cute. Would like one with Ninja detailing on it too. I think the Die Antwoord project is pretty satirical though, and nothing to take seriously. Watkin (Ninja) has been involved in many different projects featuring many different personas, and I think Ninja is just one of them, and the same thing goes for Yolandi.
with no less than three separate Die Antwoord threads, I would imagine there are a few fans here who could help under the circumstances.
From Die Antwoord's FaceBook. The price point crushed my dreams... yeah, it's steep man. Looks quite large though. I hope they do more figures. I would love to see a tokolosh - that's some South African kaiju right theeyar.
I actually heard something about Die Antwoord working with David Choe to create a Tokolosh toy. I'm hoping this will actually fruition as well. And great pictures DYBBUKIM! Do you know whether all of the Evil Boy figures sold out?
Don't know. They had less than 20 left when I got mine at 12:15 today. Anyone interested had to come back at 4pm for them to autograph the box. I did manage to get a photograph of Ninja and Yo-landa autographed by them both for free, despite their handler's trying to move me on.
