I had a terrible transaction with this guy about 20 months ago. It took me a very long time to get an account activated here to warn people about it; but I see his name here as a member, so I'm posting this now.

I paid Bobbleheadfreak, real name Chris Bernardo from Sacramento, CA $325 for a Biskup Virus Pollard via Paypal and I never received it. This was in the late months of 2011. And, I never got my money back. He had posted on the KidRobot forum that he had the Pollard for sale, including pictures. I paid right away. He stalled things out by sending me other items, random small Biskup items, in boxes with delivery confirmation, and then would apologize and ask me to return the items to him so that he could send me the right item. He did this twice, eating up about 30 days time. I returned all of the items to him, and he then refused to refund or send the Pollard. He suddenly had a dozen reasons as to why he couldn't get to the post office, etc., even stating he was out of town on business, had sick kids, whatever. I found out much later, via another KidRobot forum member, that he is an unemployed father who posts videos online about how to get rich with online sales. When I filed a paypal claim, he gave them the delivery confirmation number from one of the bogus packages he had sent to me and paypal shut down my claim, because he had proof of delivery. I called paypal and gave them my two tracking numbers as proof that I had returned the two boxes to him, but they didn't care. To add salt to the wound, I had paid as "gift" at his insistence. I did so because he had a LOT of posts and transactions on the KidRobot forum and I decided to give him the benefit of the doubt. YES, that part was my bad, and I'll never do it again. I see sellers asking for "gift" payment here and I cringe. Please understand that after something like this, some people just cannot send payment that way. I would rather pay all fees, and we both trust each other. I see that he was posting/selling on this forum up until at least 2007, and I'd be willing to bet that people here sent their payments to him as "gift", too. I've been an honest buyer, both locally and internationally, for many years, and have never encountered such a con as this guy.

It has taken me a LONG time to even begin to come into these forums and consider trusting people again. With that said, I am still looking for a Virus Pollard and I am hoping that someone honest will offer to sell me one. I would very much like to believe in good folks in the kaiju community. Thanks!

Ugh. What a terrible story. Sorry to hear that. Good luck in your search. Can't help you there.

Also, what a dumb username bobbleheadfreak is. Apparently you can judge a book by its cover. Good riddance.

    Indeed!!

I don't know about ebay, but I have a feeling he is still out there selling somewhere, online, probably under another name.
