Balbagon, Gillmos/Girumos, Razor Pegimon, Gmohs, and I think Gazura. Someone correct me if any of those existed prior to Dream Rocket's versions.

I dunno Paul, I'm no wellspring, but I do sometimes run the DR web pages through a translator, and try to make sense of what comes through. :) That's how I learned about Balbagon being inspired by both Godzilla and Gwangi. That much made sense. Otherwise you sometimes get confusing non-translations like "The Gappo is of Bali Moth." :)

    You are correct, Dean.

Someone once posted a while back (like, a long while back) that Gumos is based on drawings that Yajima-san did as a child. I thought that was pretty cool.

That's what I find appealing about patchi-kaiju stuff (or original kaiju)- when you're a kid you always have these characters that you wish were made into toys, but the big companies never produce them because of marketability, cost, safety, etc. For example, there were probably a lot of kids in Japan who had the Sekai no Kaiju books or the cheap patchi-kaiiju cards and wondered why there were no toys of those characters. I feel like these smaller companies and artists- e.g., Dream Rocket, Amapro, Target Earth- are each bringing their childhood dreams to fruition in this way. Whether or not that is the reality for all of them, I can associate with the excitement of creating the toys that you wish you had 20-30 years ago.

Sorry for the digression. Just thinking out loud.

Got mine today and let me say this: if you arte on the line about this guy, don't be. he truly is one of the mlost beautiful colorways i've ever seen on a toy and probably the best dream rocket has ever put out. the clear blue vinyl with metallic color paint is just breathtaking in the sunlight! i put him up on my wall of toys and he makes everything else look so drab in comparison. get it

Not sure what post you were referring to, but there is some information about these early Gumous drawings here ,

and some info about Agon and the other monsters in Dream Rocket’s Akakage ("Red Shadow") kaiju series here (scroll down below the Agon pics).

Okay, the glow Jijigora is hot as hell...and, of course, this Agon is spectacular...but what I'm dying for from Dream Rocket is a GID Gillmos!

    Dream Rocket...are you listening!?

    Gillmos! Gillmos! Gillmos!

GID would be cool. More painted Gillmos editions would be cool. Just about any new Gillmos would be cool, because Gillmos is one smokin' hot sculpt.

    Revive the Gillmos!
