SDCC was a blast this year! It was great staying with Joel, Joe, Kirkland and any one else who was passing through our room. SDCC wore me out this year, but it was still a great time. To all my SB friends, thanks for your support during my signing and all the nice things you had to say about fire robo.It was great seeing all of you and sorry if I didn't get to say good bye to everyone. Thanks to S7 and Toypunks. To San Diego, build a walking bridge from the con to the gas lamp by next year please, the whole cross walk/ trolly tracks thing is a pain in the ass .

Next year be on the look out for JOEL-CON!!

jeremy's enthusiasm for all things outside the japanese toy scene is inspiring. here he is holding the world's largest carded action figure. He got two of them and had to rent a van to take them home..!

    Good call Bert!

All the high points were around the people and not the toys this year - so it might be cheaper just to attend Joel-con next year.

Awesome people (I can actually remember - so DO NOT be upset if I didnt include you) include:
    HMS
    Ultrapaul and his buddies
    Glenn
    Chad
    Josh
    Alex
    Scott Stealth
    Dustbin and Kristin
    Nate and Maddie
    Pus
    Scary Andy
    Connell
    Mark B
    Funyara
    Evil STarro
    Joel
    PK
    Lorne and Lev
    Joe

and most of all: COCKCHOPPER and BUZZKILL - those fuckin guys killed it!

    High points included:
Buzzkill forcing himself on CockChopper repeatedly...altho forcing is the wrong word - Cockchopper was asking for it (nicely actually)
Boris guitarist dating Ultrapaul, and by dating I mean running screaming to tour van and hiding out
That super sweaty dude fomr Mindstyle staggering around bug eyed and screeaming, but leaving his tab open
Meeting someone who uses ToyPunks as lecture material at Savannah University of Art and Design
    HeathClit
    Joel's perma-grin
    Pushead's awesomeness
    Watching LivingDead demonstrate awesome parenting
    KlanSlut
    Anything UltraPaul did

Low points included over priced toys and crappy attitudes. The scene maybe blowing up and making some folk feel they are king of the world, but its still a relatively tiny fan supported scene. I'd like to see a return to mutual respect from fan to company (a given by definition) and company to fan (sadly not a given, see Connell's post above for but one example) otherwise I see the boat sinking for some folk.

    Carl,
I actually was thinking the other day that I wish I wouldve been able to slow down at the con and chat with you a bit, so sorry if I seemed like a spaz. You rule.

It was really great to see everybody again! I think I have the most fun talking to friends and getting people into putting art in my gallery! ;)
To much cool stuff to list this year! I will post a pic of loot this week!
