    Nothing a good working over with a moist paper towel or cloth can't cure. I've dusted plenty of porous toys off and brought them back to their original shine. Just make sure you dry them off before putting them back.

    I don't think you need to create a shrine in order to enjoy this hobby. It's actually much easier when kids come around and DON'T see my awesome toy collection. But I went this route due to dust that can't be removed from certain textured sculpts, no matter what I try.

    have you thought of having a mirror installed on the back?
    It might make the display heavier but I think you'll love the end result.
