an old favorite of mine when I lived in Pittsburgh was pierogi pizza... hey, Pittsburgh takes its pierogis VERY seriously...and although I was doubtful at first, I was won over bigtime... (caveat: I was smoking a lot back then...so it may have tasted a lot better than it would have sober)
Tonight I had a lovely homemade pizza with goat cheese and sun dried tomatoes. Then the person who cooked it for me threw up and said that they think they have a stomach flu. I'm a-scaired.
HAHA dude that pic reminds me of this prank call with an arnold impersonator that is talking about pizza topped with bullets. So funny.
mushroom,,onion & pepperoni.... man,,you people are a bad influence!!! it is 4:16am & i am now heading to the kitchen to fire-up a frozen pizza
Them's fighting words!!! Well, I DO like me some Zachary's pizza... Fortunately for me, some former Zachary's employees opened up a nice deep dish pizzeria in Palo Alto so i don't have to drive to the east bay for a slice now.
I lived in Montebello for most of my life... almost 20 years. I just moved last august up here. what part of Montebello you from?
Click to make bigger.. The Dude, Newman and the Bird are my favorites, but if I'm just going to the regular pizza place its meatball..
That red shouga (pickled ginger) and ground mystery meat at Shakeys in Japan. Hiro probably knows what I am talking about. Looks like shit, tastes great!
Haha! The Shakey's in Kichijoji always comes up in Patrick Macias' podcasts. Matt has told me so many scary stories about it that I've never been brave enough to go in.
i had the best buffalo chicken wing pizza last night. buffalo sauce soaked chicken breast with blue cheese, mozzarella, and jalapeno slices over red sauce mixed with hot sauce. sooooooooooo good.
As far as non-traditional ones I like Thai Chicken pizza best (though thanks to California Pizza kitchen I guess it IS more traditional now), but I love me some buffalo wing sauce pizza too. Farting blood man, farting blood. Still, nothing beats good ol' fashioned ingredients.
Slice #1 = Pepperoni, Jalapenos, Tomatoes, Cheddar & Mozzarella Slice #2 (the chaser) = Mushroom, Olive, Artichoke Hearts This being from Pizza Oasis (the one on Burnside, not Hawthorne, for the PDX folk).
just ate a pepperoni, sausage, and mushroom for lunch. i like all sorts of combos of toppings, but nothing can really f with this classic trio imo
We are big fans of plain cheese pies (a pizzeria is only as good as its plain, un-topped slice), but when my family and I get toppings, our fave combo (for the last three years or so) is roasted reds, breaded eggplant, ricotta and walnuts.
