Two of my newly arranged shelves. When you've got limited options you do your best to make it work. Its not ideal conditions but at least I won't have to use stupid detolfs anymore. I think Ian used to have some of these and Scott currently uses them. btw thanks for the info regarding the display Scott.
excuse the awful photo- but this is most of the stuff i have purchased since october. im overseas now so this is what has been forwarded to me. the rest of my collection is packed away
Amazing collection, and awesome shelves. I've been looking for a new cabinet to display the collection....where did you find this shelf, and how much did it cost if you don't mind sharing ? Also, did the lights come with the shelf unit, or did you purchase them seperately ? I've heard horror stories about detolf's, and am not a fan of the all glass look. Any info you could give would be great. Thanks.
Great shelf Michael, I like how you're forwarding your toy hoards over to Spain. I'd get impatient if I knew I had packages waiting to open for months on end. Love the Onibi Mamushi. I did not end up winning that recent auction for one so here is my sad face
^ It's because you were behind me in line at Dragatomi. Such a good show, totally worth not sleeping.
One of my favorite threads on SB. I never tire of seeing the awesome pics on here. Great shelves David, Scott, Michael, Gatiio and Brobles to name but a few!
Thanks. The shelf is, as Bryce mentioned, simply an Ikea Billy with glass doors and extra white and glass Billy shelves (they help to reflect the light back up). The lights are Ikea LEDs attached with velcro, and I used black gorilla tape to hide the white wires.
Thanks for the info....I believe the lights you mention are called 'dioder' or something similar, and I assume these are the lights you normally see on peoples shelves on this site, as they don't give off too much heat. Great tip to hide the wires too ! Thanks again dude !
^^ Yeah they don't give off much heat and are super easy to install. I have them in on a book shelf with books lvoe them.
Hot Ziggity Zag! Thanks to an awesome skullbrainer for helping me complete the camo zag triumvirate with the Mishka version. Now that I've finally hit the magical number "3" after several years of searching, maybe the OCD voices in my head will let me sleep.
Thanks guys! The beer cans are doll furniture accessories I got at Pearl Art Center (don't know if that's a national chain or not) - it was many years ago but I'm sure they're still available someplace.
