+1 I was wondering "what's that red one a new one?" Deeuuhhrrr! Vintage, very cool! I love IKB's original sculpts and what Hukkokudo's doing with them.
I want to see some up close and personal pics of the clear(?)/brown/orange one on the far left. Totally my favorite on the shelf. He just screams "pollution" with those colors.
Not really following the theme of this thread but here's some more Hedoro goodness - "Red Tide" version - "Heavy Metal" version - Hawaii
great shots BD. I'm really starting to like this piece. I've never really paid it much attention until recently. Great chunky, raw look to it. could totally be a bemons little brother with that texture. really like the blue around the eyes on that one.
The red tide is beautiful Tim. Wish I could have got that and the green one. Hell, I wish I could have got all of the protos.
I am loving this thread and some of the shelves. Here is my current favorite shelf, courtesy of Sean and Cliff from Monstrehero.
Great shelf Alex! Toho love for sure. Loving the Butanohana Kong's (they always elude me). Never saw the version next to the Baragon, when did he come out?
Nice "overflow" shelf Alex. If you run out of room on that one your Baragon can flow over to my shelf.
Guilty! Toho overflow is my new catchphrase for '09!! Thanks guys! This is where all my random Toho stuff that can't fit into my other displays go to live. Thanks Chris! That's the brown Kong, I think it might actually be the oldest version, but I'm not sure. It's without a doubt the softest vinyl I own, or have ever seen. I got him from a super cool dude who won him as part of a Buta No Hana lot. Thanks mystery dude!!!
The old dinosaur Butas are generally made of softer vinyl. I found a bunch of them- including some molds that were later recast in the harder vinyl they use now- and they're almost as soft as the squishy Gargamel vinyl. What is the base color on that Kong?
