On August 13th, 14th, and 15th I will be releasing 3 new BALZACxSECRET BASE "Obake" figures through the Fiendish Club International. There are three versions, with one version being released each day - you can combine shipping on all of them if you buy them all as it will be tallied up after the sale finishes on the 15th. The only way to purchase is to be a FCi member. You can join here. The colorways will most likely not be revealed until they go up in the FCi shop.
yup. unfortunatly, your perfectly correct. but try i will. im excited to see what else thyv done with the obakes, i think balzacs brought em to a whole new level. very excited, very sure i wont score 3.. maybe not even 1. luckily i have the money to try : )
I just do not get this ! Before the new club everyone had to scramble to try to get exclusive figures in the first few minutes of an offering. Now you pay $100. bucks to become a member of the new club so you can scramble to try to get exclusive figures in the first few minutes of an offering. What am I missing here ?????????? aside from the $100.
There's a cool Balzac Obake with no scrambling with gold plus an extensive membership packet for joining. I've missed out on stuff but at least its possible to maybe score and the guaranteed Obake for Gold looked really nice. I don't regret joining even though so far I've missed all the scrambling offers.
$100 for all the good sh*t you get is great but I gotta admit I kinda thought the same thing about avoiding the frenzy . . .
Yeah but wold the frenzy be BIGGER without being in the club? Anyway, yeah the $100, in MY opinion, was for the initial toy, shirt, dvd, 2 cd's and all the other merch that came with. Being in the club is a bonus to getting all that other stuff. That's how I justify the whole deal. I mean for a SB toy, shirt, dvd and 2 cds and more, $100 is pretty good I'd say/
Oh yeah, I should be more clear on this. These Obakes are not made specifically for the FCi - they are also being sold in Japan through "Shocker", in Osaka. The FCi is the only place outside of that store to get them. I plan to make the FCi specific figures made-to-order, so there will not be the the scramble. Look for a made-to-order FCi specific figure to come soon. I can't always avoid the scramble sales as stock is so limited, but I do my best. Also, to ease your minds, I got a little more stock on these, so they should last a a little longer.
This is great for most but I really just want the toys so the other stuff isn't worth $1 to me. Oh well. Hopefully I will get lucky.
I am still so confused. So these 3 Obakes will be made available for sale to FCi members and at the Shocker Store. (ie these obakes will not be for sale to the general public over the internet) Is that correct?
Correct. You would need to actually go to the Shocker store in Osaka to get one.. and that won't guarantee you do either, as they are very limited there too. Through the FCi is the only place outside of that Osaka shop you have a chance.
Best to watch the thread in the FCi BBS as I normally give a heads up there (and only there), but look for them sometime after midnight EST on the night of the 12th. At least that is what I am planning for right now.
Yeah, since the FCi offers up a lot of Secret Base and TWIM collaborations, and probably some Medicom Toy stuff in the future, I think there are a lot of people that still might want to get into the fan club...without news here they wouldn't know about them. I had 3 people sign up just because of the TWIM guys, and a couple since the Obake's were announced here, so it seems worth it.
Can't register with the FCI forums w/out registering for Horrorwood which requires a fax machine or snail mail; a printer, and a letter from my parent or legal guardian (I'm an adult). I really don't have the time to do all that, my printer's broken I just moved and frankly can't afford to buy a new one atm. Is there any other way to get permission to view the forums so I know when the Obake's go on sale? I'm a gold member but totally blocked from getting the info due to Horrorwood registration requirements and not being able to replace my printer for awhile..
Hmmmm... are you looking at the right BBS? You don't need any of that. If you can sign up for this BBS, you can sign up for the Horrorwood one...they run on the same system. Sign up directly here. Then email me your info (follow the instructions here). If you have more trouble, PM me.
