I think i might be hopping the wagon back into vintage.

Having completed my Nakajima UFO collection has wet my whistle for some more other sweet die cast as well.

    Nothing beats it!

I've been pulling out my old toys and I think i caught the fever! ;)

    Vintage is truly magical stuff.

Vintage Microman is the dope as well. The stuff dreams are made of!

Great, great toys, all! I really love the Kingjoe thingie. Paul your toy photography is consistently great, too. You should do a book some day.

Nice Amazon. Since I've been getting more into Cyborg shit, I've been perusing many sites devoted to them. The Henshin Cyborgs and Micronauts are some of the greatest toys ever, in my opinion. The weird / creepiness of them combined with great designs, clear parts and internal organs and engines just adds up to pure badass. One aspect that really intrigues me are the additional weapon packs.

I sadly don't own any of the vintage stuff (and don't know if / when I will), but I have a nice gang of newer Micronauts (lots of Acroyear and other villains) and will be getting some Neo Henshin Cyborgs soon.

I think the timelessness and relevance of those series is pretty important and at the end of the day, they are some incredibly well designed toys.

    Wow, rambling tangent.

    Tangent respect.

    really funny.

I had tons of Microman as a kid and trashed it all, but somehow retained some really bizzare and obscure stuff, keeping the boxes and stickers.
Abeit the chrome is worn from love.

I just don't understand how that happened.

Thanks for the nice compliments on my photogs by the way.

I need a photo box and cool props to do more! ;)

Paul, your photos make most contemporary stuff look weak and boring.

I'm trying to resist the call of vintage, but when the contemporary stuff feels stale or over hyped, I drop some dough on vintage. It's so gorgeous and it has history unlike the new stuff...

Does the King Joe set do anything? Looks like his hands might shoot off.

For your photography, why not try something like an EZCube? I've been using one for years to photograph products. Once you get the lights properly set up and metered then you will get a really nicely diffused setup inside the cube! Plus it collapses into this bag that's something like 16" round.

Awesome pics, Paul. King Joe looks like he was made for that base. Those Acroyear Amazons are great, too. A friend of mine found one of those plus the companion kaiju loose in a bargain bin a couple of years ago.

CCPfan, the Popy King Joe splits up into his separate components, plus the fists fire. It's an awesome toy, and relatively easy to get.
