Just got back home from a long and trying trip to F'in Texas. I came home to find these beauties waiting for me among other things. I tried to take very good pictures to show the details but you can never really capture a custom or HP the way your eye will. Dokuwashi, Metallic green and silver with orange, purple, blue, and dark green sprays. The chest is where all the metallic is located. The Flynn squirm. This piece is so crazy yet fluid, lots and lots of gold, silver, and greens, along with red, brown, blue, yellow, and copper. Very pretty HP IMO.
Yeah that Squirm is a nice departure for Brian. I don't recall him doing "drippy" stuff like that before?
I dig it allot and reckognized the piece immediately as being "different" than what I have seen from Brian in the past. That said I had to have it. He did the eyes in what looks to be Ultra Flat Black and a very cool contrast. UFB, my most favorite looking and smelling paint in the world.
Eloco, Glad that you liked the customs and that they went to a good home. I was originally going to lottery give away the drip custom, but the guys at Gargamel told me it was too cool, and let someone have a chance to buy it. Lucky for you I guess! Also, what is so bad about Texas? Did you eat at Sonic or Schlotszky's?
WOW, I am even more stoked I was able to aquire this guy. Thank you Gargamel crew, great words of advice . Texas, Its not that bad but I'm an LA raised city boy and they dont quite take to me that well. Especially cops, was stopped several times just walking down the street to be interigated and searched. It's my fault, I let the Tatts fly and my clothes looked like crap. Other than that Texas is a stellar state . I LOVE MY SQUIRM!!!!!! He resides next to the unpainted proto's and a Lash show squirm. And hell yeah, Sonics once a day for a week. My chest hurts, arteries are gona pop!!
some stellar pick ups you got there matt...!!! that drippy lotto squirm is off the chain for really real and the dokuwashi is lookin' super duper nice as well...!!!
They are painted, just hard to tell from my pictures. The vinyl is pink and the facial features are painted Halloween orange. But it is a awesome contrast as you pointed out. I wish there was a way to have a show of past customs (not for sale or anything, just retrospect) that owners/collectors could display and meet with each other and the artist's (JP vinyl only though). That would be an awesome event IMO.
