Fugue State Records - Artist Multiples by Abe Lincoln Jr.

I've finally put out the first release of my Art project called "Fugue State Records".

I plan on doing a lot of fun stuff with this project, Asspanther tee shirts are probably next but then a single by NYC Experimental Noise/Punk band Septuagenarian (the oldest band on the label) followed by a release by fellow New Yorkers Black Enterprise.

I'd like tshirts of the posters I did...so when people ask me if I the tshirt is my design, I can finally say yes.

What a concept. Any plans to ever have recorded music to go with the bands?

Jeff, no plans on music. As someone who was into the hardcore and metal scenes before the internet, I bought lots of records based on word of mouth and cover imagery. Let's just say that alot of bands have better covers than music (hello crass?). So I felt id leave it up to the viewer to create the bands sound in their mind and then they can decide on their own if it rules or sucks.

Brilliant ! i'm sure many young musicless bands are aching to be signed to this silent-visual label.

 

Love it. Yes many bands with great artwork that the music never quite matched.
