True, true. Like I said, I just found it interesting. I don't pretend to have the same collecting habits as most others on the board! Yeah, for a whole shelf o'mini Zags, bare metal would probably make the most sense. I only have one mini Zag...but I have most of the Bullpets!
i had no clue its an homage, thanxx for pointing this out!!! now this is hoping for many more pk colored figs - be so cool!!!
I'm actually kind of curious if the copper would eventually oxidize after a few years and take on a nice green color....like the tops of the Parliament buildings 3 blocks away from me(which are also copper).
I've seen them all in my hands. My opinion... I like the copper and gold the best. (the red/green paint is good too)
I can't wait. Still combining shipping costs? I placed 2 separate orders, should I email my info to FV?
thanks for the refund got mine today and I love them, they feel solid though I don't think they are. You could definitely take out a windshield with these guys. My only dislike is the base and holes but at least the base is removable. Still a really wonderful piece.
Dang! We live in in the same city and mine never arrived. Thats strange about the base. Why didn't they advertise that? It wouldn't have changed things but still that's strange that a base is needed.
they will stand fine without the base. The base is just an extra or an accessory. Not needed if you dont want it. Just stick it back in the box.
one good thing about the base is that it doesn't take up much more room, I'm leaving mine in for now for the bling factor
^ Beautiful Goga! ^ Does anyone know if the silver zag can be polished to make it really shine? Would some very light steel wool or a liquid silver polish work? I'm very happy with it as is but think putting a bright shine on it would look wicked cool.
That's a nice camo mini Zag you have there Joe. Must look great next to the Camo Hedoran! Oh, and the new metal ones are nice as well.
Thanks for the extra pics. They look lovely next to the other zags. As for silver polish maybe pm theliberator. If he doesn't know then he can contact Jamie who actually produces them and would definitely know.
It is silver plate, so you can use a very soft polishing cloth and a light coat of polish, although the polish is not needed especially when it is so new. Just really buff the heck out of it with the soft polishing cloth. You'll find that as time goes on, and it sits on the shelf, you will need to polish it again, like any other metal piece.
Also, it's hard to tell via the pics online, but it appears like it's duller or even black (similar to a rub filler finish?) between the scaley/platey parts of the skin? If this is the case, I think using a liquid medium for polishing would have an effect on that, no? BTW, is that a Invisible Kaiju crouching Zag I see in the corner? Jealous!
@Sanjeev: Just wanted to say thanks for the thorough and illuminating writeup you did. No small feat. Passed on this little guy...I think out of pure fatigue, but seeing more than just the stock teaser pics has whetted my appetite. I'll live, of course.
