Wow, I am not even sure how to handle this one. Sad to just hear about the passing of a real cinema legend. He might not have been in the biggest blockbusters, or taken home shelves of awards, but the man could take you away to a new world and make you not only believe it, but never forget. I enjoyed all of his performances, and he really touched generations of filmgoers. The lack of his creativity will be a loss to us all. I hope he and Richard Pryor are having such a blast in their reunion.

    In memoriam:

    He will be remembered. RIP.

This one was a sad shock :( He was always a favorite, always had a crush on him, and always felt like he was overlooked for how great he was

2016 sure has been a rough year in terms of celebrity deaths. I watched Charlie and the Chocolate Factory more times than I can remember growing up, still one of my favorites. He really brought Mr. Wonka to life. RIP.

Gene had class and integrity, it's such a shame Hollywood never really appreciated it

Going to watch Young Frankenstein tonight and recall the subtle genius that he was

RIP Gene Wilder, you will be missed.

Dave: Who are you talking to?
    Wally
: I'm talking to you, you prick.
    Dave
: Why don't you look me in the eye and say that?
    Wally
    : I would if I could but I can't, I'm blind.
    Dave
    : You're blind?
    Wally
: Yes, I'm blind. What are you, fucking deaf?
    Dave
    : YES! I'M FUCKING DEAF!
    Wally
    : You're really deaf?
    Dave
    : I'm really deaf.
    Wally
: Then how do you know what I'm saying?
    Dave
: Because I'm reading your lips. Now you want the job or not?

Today I found out that Gene died literally 5-10 minutes away from where I live. I had absolutely no idea.

Those of you that follow me on IG or FB know that I have done some small paintings as tributes to celebs that have passed away. I started when Bowie passed and I don't do one for every celeb. This is the first one that isn't a painting of the celeb, but instead, I did something associated with him. The other paintings have been portraits. Mind you, I don't spend a lot of time on these and are small (a bit smaller than a postcard). I don't even sketch to plan them out. The only thing I really do as far as research goes is finding a picture to use as reference and then going from there.
