Plans are afoot to release a documentary focussing on Washington DC's 1980s punk scene. 'Salad Days: The HarDCore Punk Revolution' is currently being pulled together by writer/director Scott Crawford, a man who first began putting out fanzines at the tender age of just 12 years old, according to Pitchfork. Did you guys hear about the new band Mike Vallely & Greg Ginn are doing together?: https://soundcloud.com/goodforyou-1/hanging-around
The 2 shows they did for the Salad days documentary as awesome. Dag Nasty was tight as shit. One of the best reunions I've ever seen.

Infest & Vaccine would be great. I shot some vids when they played Gilman last year. Crowd was mellow but they ripped. Maybe you might dig: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pqcfT7Ji ... jg&index=5 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zsDDbLxO ... AsHwV3h7jg
That flyer wins! That drawing is so great. Man, the Che is pretty small, it's gonna be toe to toe in there. Sorry to hear you didn't get a ticket. If I were you I'd sit on the hill & listen!
Holy shit! The CHE! It's been years since I've been there! Rad place to see shows, don't get stuck in the rafters!
Just thought I'd throw this out there. If you live near here it is worth the trip. These are not all old school h/c bands but there are quite a few. I love this festival. It is a guaranteed crazy time, and really there are some moments every year that take me back to my youth. It can feel vital and dangerous again. Pretty cool.
Wish I could see the Marked Men again. Crazy to see CC playing with 3 different bands(mind eraser, Step Forward and WW4) at the fest. Heard Criminal Damage is a full time band again and working on new material!
Would love to see what Violent Future is like live. The demo rips. Great boneheaded hardcore! http://violentfuture.bandcamp.com/album/demo-2012
I wonder if Bolt Thrower paint miniatures? "Now I'm making your red pants blue..." Michael - if you dig VF, check out Urban Blight (shared band members). Saw them in Oakland last year, super good:
