Hey sorry if this has been asked before somewhere else... Can anybody recommend a good online skate store? Thanks.
http://www.solitaryarts.com/collections/mini-skate-shop Probably not what you are looking for, but they have nice boards designed by Geoff McFetridge
Where in the "shitty south" are you? Local > online any day - and if you're somewhere in Texas I can probably get you some names.
Support your local skate shops!!! If you haven't any around you, CCS.com or activemailorder.com are decent resources, but still corporate giants among the skate industry. More importantly though, never shop Zumiez... online or otherwise. They are wiping out the little guys all over, and replacing them with mall-rat pseudo skaters who can barely grip a deck. Local if at all possible. Is there anything you are particularly looking for?
I'm in Birmingham, AL... YUCK! ...I'm from Washington DC originally... Anyways, no the only local places here suck. Only a couple crappy mall/ pac sun style skate shops. I was looking for some of the powell peralta throwback stuff... Pretty hard to find so far, besides online places....Thanks for all the help!
EH!! i actually run a pac sun! and we are one of the few in the company with an actual skate shop in it. compared to local shops were actually pretty decent, albeit probably more expensive..but i get a discount so it doesn't bother me.
oops sorry man no offense. It's cool I mean I don't mind that store, it's fine... I just like the old throwback 80's powell peralta stuff with the skull and sword, ect... You can't get that except for online from what I've seen and then even most of the online are sold out of that... Shit man I even have an extra part time job at Banana Republic, Double YUCK!!!
we have a few powell peralta decks (including a skull and sword one)..ill take pictures tomorrow if you want. and no offense taken, i dont mind working there especially with what i get paid.
I'm lucky to have this place in my hometown... These guys are great, and have a huge selection of vinyl on display, Kaws, BxH, RxH etc. They have really good decks, cheap blanks, and some really good prices on skate shoes, and clothing (When on sale) www.thepremierstore.com
You might check Skate Warehouse. They have a nice selection of reissues (Powell Peralta and Santa Cruz), and their service is pretty good. www.skatewarehouse.com
Those are probably the best boards. Still have shape with a nose. Great time too where skateboarding sort of discovered reappropriation. The problem with local skate shops is that they really cater to the younger markets who have no clue what that era was about
