took me a while to figure out what pieces/parts those papoose things were made out of... they're mothman wings. *foreheadslap*
Haven't really been feeling many Grody releases latey with all these mashups and whatnot... but those really do look amazing.
One thing I really admire about what Luke is doing is he is experimenting with the paint jobs on so many levels. And as he digs in deeper, he really finds the character of his toys more and more in my opinion. I know it's not for everyone, but these mixed, dripped or rubbed paint styles really stand out to me. These two are a perfect example. Wish I had seen them drop!
His technique in painting without a brush or through sprays is definitely getting perfected, its evident in this release. The color combinations are also getting better and better. Although sporatic these paint apps definitely look like they had some thought put into them. red eyed variant maybe?
Has anyone placed some FewMany orders yet? I am just wondering what to estimate for a shipping price. I know this is a bit off current topic, and Luke has been pumping out new stuff left and right, but I was just curious if anyone had heard something on the NYCC design-your-own cutoms monsters? I would love to start seeing some of these when Luke takes a break. I guess he might be doing them one here and there, and waiting till every one is completed, to avoid all the message requests.
I think all, or most, of the vampire heads have red eyes on this release. Mine does. Your vamp- head Nug has Karakuri arms while your frank- head has Ojisan arms. Mine are opposite of this. I love the variety in all the GS releases. @ ultrakaiju- I sent an email to Fewmany with a hopeful order. Haven't heard back yet.
I'll def say this... whatever technique he used on these (as i look at my Kara), is astounding. the paint is so seamless in the blending, and coverage it almost looks like it's in the vinyl... I'm truly jealous of this ability. This Kara, paint wise, is one of the best put together, and best looking pieces in my collection.
Thanks I sent them a mail few days ago but than had no answer for a few...i tought i was too late....till today the payment request popped in my mail
