Not sure which what release it was from. It was a yellow/blue GID. Somebody should put together a photo gallery of which one's which. I feel like a moron asking what people mean when they say Derp, Frosty, Wheel, etc. (I'm up to speed on those, for the record ) D-LUX, great suggestion. I'll give it a shot.
There used to be a list of all the releases but it hasnt been updated for the longest time. You'll get the hang of the names with time.
quijanoth this isn't 100% complete, but it should help. http://rotocasted.com/library/artist_Grody%20Shogun/
Looks like there are shooting blanks Grody Shogun toys back up on the Grody page at Lulu. Get 'em while they are hot.
I tried to look through the wants threads and couldn't find someone looking for this exact figure, but a seller over on KR has the original WF Ojisan for sale as well as a Frosty Ojisan.
So I picked up the clear Ojisan and Karakuri with a specific intent in mind, but I don't have the artistic ability to pull it off. Therefore, I thought I would share my idea in the hopes that someone here might like it and create templates for all to share. Essentially, I would like to create paper inserts for the figures, similar to the classic vintage and also modern vinyls showing their guts, or mechanical insides. http://www.robot-japan.com/item/your-en ... owing.html I was thinking of a more organic insert for Ojisan and a more mechanical insert for Karakuri, in line with the original background of these figures: Thoughts? Anyone up for creating and sharing these inserts?
Not to piss on your parade, but the only draw back to putting guts or inserts in an Ojisan or Karakuri is all the texture. May distort, and make it hard to see, the insert. It's a fun idea though. I am interested to see how it works out.
Not sure if you guys are interested, but the Shooting Blanks are back up at Lulu's. Dunno how long it will last, but good luck!
Just wanted to thank Shankweather, EVOM, and Grizzli for all the great deals on Grodys in BST today! Thanks, guys! Super excited to pump up the collection a bit.
Those turned out way better, that I was thinking they would. The price point is pretty good as well. Also, I'll most likely have paper inserts, in the series of GS monsters, I'm painting.
Quite gimmicky and platformy. I'd have been all over these eight or so years ago. Not really sure how I feel about a toy subscription plan, either.
I don't like the sculpt at all but I do like the way the tongue comes out from within, thats a nice touch
I hope it's not like the February 15th drop where everyone hit F5 all day long and the sale went live at 11pm, that was nuts.
I just recieved an anwer from Amy. There is a delay on the shipment, the sale for today has been postponed until further notice. She will email out the change later today.
