i like alot of shitty pop music, whether its american or japanese. i don't feel guilty about it though haha.
I am in love with her. Well in her 40's and still looks amazing. I guess chasing all the bad guys in CSI:Las Vegas is keeping her in prime shape. And look at those legs..DAMN!
aw see.. now i have to go and put that record on and play my favorite song i guess she looks a little like Lisa Bonet, but does she doesn't have a british accent
Although I spent my teen years rebelling against the very thought. All that "horrible" AM Gold/Yacht Rock shit from the 70's always gets the most plays in itunes. ELO is my jam... no shame
Spinning kitties on hard wood floors. Picking lint out of my belly-button. Flinging beer caps across the room (inevitably, my wife makes me go over and pick it up). Sniffing my mook.
ahah I love that quote. here's mine. I don't actually buy their CD's or anything, but once in a while I'll hear a song somewhere and enjoy it way more than I should. As long as I don't have to look at the band members.
Of course,Koji. As long as you list your(current)top 5 and list your name you'll be set! Follow the link. http://www.skullbrain.org/bb/viewtopic.php?t=17747
nothing you like should be a guilty plasure , everything has value. adam & the ants.....check simple minds ........check kajagoogoo...........check wierd science........check love it all being cool is such bullshit
Just the obvious . . . buying overpriced Japanese toys! . . . other than that I lead a relatively guilt-free existence (life's too short!)
reading this from a record store manager makes it so much easier to say: prefab sprout and also tears for fears "head over heels" ever since donnie darko. adorable thora birch, but what about jenna malone??? also im totally guilty when it comes to avril lavigne - even with her cheap looking red & blond hanks she looks so...
I spent every Sunday of my teen years at the CBGBs hardcore matinee all age shows. Never really liked YoT, but saw alot of Token Entry, Gorilla Biscuits, Murphy's Law, Cro-Mags, Warzone, Breakdown, Agnostic Front, etc, etc. Never got into the straight edge or Krishna scene, but I love that NYC hardcore. Now that I'm nearly 40, that is probobly my guilty pleasure. I used to love grabbing all the new 7" vinyl from Dwayne at Some Records and then popping next store for some new Ben Shermans from 99X.
I spent many, many sundays at hardcore matinees at the Channel and the Rat here in Boston. Sometimes I get nostalgic, most days now I'm just happy I made it out alive. Favorite bands I saw back then would be Suicidal, Agnostic Front, Maelstrom, Murphy's Law, Slapshot, Sam Black Church, and so many others it's making my head hurt before coffee. I was also a Bosstones groupie for a few years. Now, guilty pleasures...hmm...dunno really.... I like stepping on thin ice where there is a space between the ice and the ground and it makes that large crack. Buying toys of course as well....
I don't feel like any of these things are guilty pleasures. I like them. You guys know I like pop music primarily though, but somehow when its in another language its cool. whereas if Brittney was singing it, you'd all make fun of me. ha but i will retain some cred by saying that i am a punk kid at heart, and what appeals to me about pop is that its simple and catchy & fun like punk rock. so bring on the bubblegum. i <3 avril.
