So this guy was the mad scientist behind the Mishka x L'amour Ghroul resin, along with many other works that all seem pretty killer. I also believe he was the hand behind the Major Lazer sculpt...? *EDIT: He did not sculpt the Major. Either way, I decided to make a thread on this guy because I've been seeing more and more of his productions lately, and I think he is definitely someone to keep an eye on. You can check out his whole portfolio of works here: http://healeymade.com/home.html
my understanding is that he is not responsible for the Major Lazer figure. I made the same mistake. but David is indeed awesome.
That Ram Man looks kind of Resinish to me... Does he work with resin a lot? P.S. I'm more of a see-through resin, Captain Sunshine, kind of guy, myself.
Yeah, his mash-ups and resin works are kick ass. He's definitely a resin-casting master. Guy needs to open up an online store! Also just got word that he will be at the MISHKA booth at NYCC.
I've seen his castings at Toy Tokyo, perfect no seams no bubbles. Probably the nicest resin casts I've seen.
David didn't do the Major Lazer but did the Ghroul. He is one of the cleanest resin artist I've seen. He will be at the MISHKA booth. Not sure of schedule yet though
I ordered the prurple version of this. I love this Duckula sculpt! I have been watching his site for a few weeks now. Great stuff!
I think I love every one of these guys. Not so much into resin myself, as I like to play with my toys, but there is definitely room for these Like the first demon guy, and the Star Wars tributes, but I especially NEED that Fakor Ram-man!
I got this purple guy in the mail today. It is pretty sweet! Looks great in person! I am glad I picked the purple too. I wasn't sure what color to get but the purple looks great in person. Very nice little figure. The only complaint is that I wish it was a little bigger. But still, it's a very very cool little dude.
I didn't see a web store... These duckulas are on Mishka's site now. Limited to 10 each I think it said.... It's a cool little piece for the collection. It's kinda funny in a weird way, like something I would have gotten out of a cereal box when I was a kid....It's sweet.
Okay. It's official. I am not one for resin too much, but these IG-88s cyborgs are so badass. That clear is amazing.
I got these at Onell Designs. Healey was there with a lot of cool resins. I think each color of these was a one-off except for pink(?). Only some were also sold at Mishka
