    I've always thought that the low numbers of runs was usually due to the amount of time it takes to paint so many figures. I'm guessing that he was able to do a large run because they were unpainted.

    Or going back and fourth between micro and large. A good mix allows fans to collect and still hunt.

    Painted, Unpainted, Full size, minis, battle sets, lottos, conventions, random draws, auctions, etc. etc. etc.

    looks like he's doing more than enough to get his toys out to deserving fans. Hopefully I'll have some luck for the painted release which based on the very small teaser, looks fantastic!

    @Smurph726 = Yeah, I was getting a little bit OCD about my losing lottery record, so it's great to finally be able to win one! Thanks!

    I kept checking my email night & day before finally giving up on this after reading Chamoco's post. Was literally seconds away from turning off my computer when the winning email popped up! Still can't believe it.

    Here's hoping 2014 brings everyone on SB good toy karma!

    That's not Hirota painting there.

    Hirota always makes a sample set of figures in the colors that he wants depicted on the paintings so that the painter has a model to look at.

    Masami Watanabe painted the last 2 HS posters. He has done many art on a lot of tokusatsu packaging for toys back in the 60s and 70s.

    Looking forward to the chances of another poster. I'm curious of the process Masami uses to create these. It looks like he does a BW image and goes over a print with gouache or watercolors.

    Arghhh...Already? I think what stings more than losing the lotto's is how many of these don't go to people who would keep them.

    It makes me wonder what the actual percentage that Hirota choose for actual international sales. I see his stuffed flipped much more now in Japan than outside.

    I don't know how much that would help. My buddy got married by one down in Guatemala or someplace and it sounded like he just paid the guy a bunch of money to rub oils on there feet at sunset.

    BTW...Posters are not out as far as I know.
