The more I look at how Zidane went out... the more I thought it was bad-ass... fuck fairy tale endings just my thoughts
He went out like a straight up fuckin' punk. Handled his emotions like a little I FART A LOT and let his team and country down.
publicly appalled - privately appealed check out this youtube vid and you may understandwhere ZZ was coming from.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dlaqsOPlt-0&mode=related&search=materazzi
Thats the thing, if Matarazzi had done one of his crazy lunges on Zidane people wouldn't be calling him a fool. As it stands, Zidane is worse than Matarazzi. Simple as. I just think Matarazzi called him a chrome dome and Zidane saw the red mist.
there's no glory in that action. your whole objective in your entire career is that World Cup. Mataz definitely deserved it but wrong place and wrong time.
Seriously, if Zidane acted that way, there is a reason for it! Fuck the World Cup, somebody is insulting you for 100 minutes non-stop and you have to swallow the pill because it's the World Cup? He should have hit harder than that in my opinion.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rKGcUr0S-FU Anyway, the Italian dude is a jerk and he knows it, thatt's why he didn't even dare to hold the Cup after the game..
I read that the thing that set it off was the Italian calling Zidane the son of a dirty terrorist whore. If that's true, it may be the first strike of French Nationalism since the Guillotine days. I loved it. Reminds me of some of the college soccer brawls our team used to get into. Sometimes its personal and somebody just needs a good head to the chest. It was ramtastic!
totally stupid. the brief satisfaction of giving an asshole his due is no way worth the chance of finishing his career with a 2nd world cup win that he flushed away, nor the let down to the rest of his team.
Zidane let his team down. A smart player ignores trash talk or retaliates in ways that don't get him thrown out of the game.
Talking shit is part of all sports. It's a way to get into your opponents head and if you happen to get their best player ejected, all the better. The Italian got the better of him.
