I made the best of the snow tonight by going sledding in the park...didn't wipe out once (but I tried too!)
as nice as that may be...you still have to be in Northern California to get it. that's a deal breaker for me. (though if it snows much more this season I could see coming around to the NY not being so great thing. Damn you Mother Nature! don't test me!!!)
I once shoveled out my assigned spot after a 14" snowfall only to find someone else park in it instead of shoveling their spot out. I shoveled out their spot and packed all the snow on top of their car. I was pretty proud of myself. They had no idea what happened but I still enjoy the memory.

Please, please don't let there be a an icy mix in this upcoming one. I F***IN hate that shit! We're all going to be drowning in this when a meltdown occurs.
Up to 21 inches coming to Massachusetts tomorrow and wednesday. WTF? I don't know where they're going to put it....
I can't take anymore of this shit, before the last storm, NY had gotten 14 more inches of snow then Alaska in January.. This shit is still going to be on the ground for my birthday in May..
Looks like more is in the mail... I just saw on the news blizzard conditions Chicago to the northeast tomorrow through Wednesday. I think we're suppose to get 20 inches here in Buffalo. Then again I'll believe it when I see it. Weatherman love to predict storm of the century every time it even flurries.
Left my car parked in a safe spot since last week. Looks like another week or two of getting around on foot, bus and subway till this stuff goes away. Buses suck as they're always late and the passengers are usually sketchy.
Here's the projection map: As you can see if you live in the midwest from St Louis, Chicago, Michigan towards the east to Buffalo etc. Wednesday is going to suck hard. Guess who gets to walk 20 minutes to the train through it at the peak? Me.
I firmly stand by this: If you hate snow. Don't live in the northeast. Its winter. Snow is normal and expected. Bring it on! Sincerely, A fellow Philadelphian.
Be Quiet Missy, I can live where ever I want and hate the snow. I hate the summer heat too. Sincerely, A fellow Philadelphian.
Born and raised in Albany, college in Worcester MA, and going to grad school in Potsdam NY starting this summer. I hate snow, so I guess I'm a glutton for punishment
I hate snow but decide to live in Chicago because I'm a fat ass and love it's food more than anything. We've been lucky so far but we keep getting "warnings" but even if it hits it's just what it is. More salt and plows that's all.
I was born in Atlanta, moved to Chicago and Boston before I was 5, grew up in Vineland NJ, moved to Philadelphia. Then back to Vineland then Paramus NJ before moving to Brooklyn for a a lot of years and then Buffalo for the last five. TRUST ME. If I had a job waiting for me on the other coast or abroad I'd be there. I fucking hate the northeast. People/history are one thing but cleaner cities and better geography/weather patterns are completely another. At 42 warmer weather wins out by miles, as I've seen enough snow to last a few lifetimes. Sincerely, A former Philadelphian
I love the snow, then again I'm a lazy piece of shit and not a working, traveling adult like the most of you. I understand the distaste for it, and at least as far as my family goes I'm always doing all I can to get the driveway clean. I love helping out friends of mine and nearby strangers too. I'm out of shape but I LOVE the cold so I get out there with a shovel and wreak havoc, good fun.
Meh. That's like saying I have to accept people saying widder instead of water if I choose to live in our fine city. Yet I still correct them and say "I think you mean waTer in the RAY-DE-ATE-OR, not widder in the rad-ee-ater. And no, I won't take cheese wiz on that". And I still hate this much snow.
