I kinda hate that instagram is a mobile app, but since I finally have a new iPhone that is not 7 years old I tried it out (not many pics): beautification_syndrome
There's an app called gramblr that lets you upload from your desktop. If it should ever come to that lol.
You can still register and do a lot through the regular web site, plus if you have Windows 10 there is an app that is fully functional. Instagram is the next evolution of Flickr. I like it.

Has anyone else found that they can no longer upload videos on Instagram? When I select the + button, it shows photos on my phone, but none of the videos.
It's like the complete opposite of Facebook. The last couple times I've scrolled through my feed, pretty much every post was an auto-playing video. It's ludicrously annoying. Instagram is the place for me.

Anyone having problems logging into IG? Tried several times today, even reset the password several times (reset link sent to email) and when the security code sent to my email was entered into the safety login screen, I kept getting errors that locked me out . Not sure if my account was hacked?
Thank you! Just tried to login. Keep getting the error message "Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again." Even after I reset the password and enter a verification code. I'll try later today. Thanks again for the heads up!
Once in a blue moon it’ll do that and the only way I can fix it is to delete the app, turn the phone off, and then reboot and redownload. Happens maybe once a year.
Also..... is anyone else noticing an increase in spam bots and a bunch of Russian accounts that magically have like 50k-100k followers?? Anytime I post a story I get hit with like 30 of them and it’s so easy to tell.
Thank you @dannyvslc . I tried that, then tried logging in using several browsers on my computer, then ipad, all with the same frustrating results . I think the account is a gonner, so i'll rebuild another account. ...sigh

Instagram finally answered! It's going to be a process, according to instructions. Hopefully they can restore the account, but in the meantime, I registered for a new one. Thankfully, I joined mainly to keep up to date on cat, art, and toy news and shows (i'm not an "empire builder" ). I only have to restore 19 photos
That happened to me and IG deleted my whole account. I lost 8 years of photos and all they could tell me was I violated their terms. IG couldn’t tell me which one so I had to make a new one ):
Sorry to hear about the headache. I have a love and hate relationship with instagram. The more I think about it, the more I want to quit social media. I think I'd be happier.
@bryce_r I deleted Facebook nearly a decade ago and it was like purging a house of malicious spirits. I pretty much don’t use Twitter at all anymore except to scroll through every few days out of boredom, and it’s just a few flicks before I close it. I e also dwindled down my Instagram use quite heavily the last few months, and it makes a huge, positive difference on my mind and productivity. @Mr. Humphreys I hope you’re able to salvage your account!!! I cherish photos quite a bit, so to hear of Kay’s eight year’s worth loss, and the potential of you losing your account as well, is disheartening!
Thank you Kay, Bryce, and Rob! I managed to upload all of the photos in identical sequence (from the old account) today, into the new account (that ought to confuse some people! ). Just have to re-follow the people and gallerys I had before, so I can catch up with the news. Still working on restoring the original account, but we'll see....

Looks like the newest update makes follower counts invisible. People are going to lose their shit. Popcorn gif time.
Hmmm... IG and FB were acting wonky earlier. A lot of pics did not load on IG groups or in my home page followings. I see my pics on IG now. Likes and Followers and counts are all there. I sorta wish the counts would go away, to lessen the hype-ing Group photos are gone for now, i.e. the Butanohana page is blank of all postings! https://www.instagram.com/explore/tags/butanohana/ There should be +4000 posts p.s. I finally got access to my original IG account, after being locked out. Didn't require the IT to intervene at all. Chalk it up to more wonkiness!
