I am very excited to announce the release of the first Cometdebris figure, Tokoji Seijin. The figure is a collaboration between Cometdebris and Gargamel, designed by Kiyoka Ikeda and myself, and sculpted by kaiju master Kiyoka. Tokoji Seijin is articulated at the neck, arms, and legs, allowing various poses. This is the third figure in Gargamel's new figure line including Martin Ontiveros' Ojo Rojo and Bwana Spoons' Globby. Tokoji Seijin will make its debut at the upcoming "Tentacles, Horns, and Scales" show at Thrash Out in Tokyo. Koji
All figures in Gargamel's new figure line should stand around the same height. Somewhere between a mini and a standard.
This won't be out soon enough The wait is going to kill me. Kappa is one of my favorite folklore creatures. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bfem00xlKUU
What a great figure! I love the personality in his facial expression, and the textured body and cool shell on his back should make for some out of this world paint jobs. Big props to you and Kiyoka for hitting this one out of the park! Blue Hawaii colorway, anyone?!?
blue Hawaii would be great..I would also like to see what Kirkland and/or Paul Kaiju can muster up...
Kiyoka Ikeda has such a wonderful stlye, his sclupts progressively move forward each new one is so unique. they are both timeless and inspiring. 1000s of years from now some form of life will be still be amazed with Gargamel. i wonder have you guys ever seen this artifact of a kappa..
I am so going to have to hit Kamikochi during my trip to Japan. I can OD on Kappa cookies while I cross Kappa Bridge with the Japanese Alps in the background, watch the Great Yokai War (both versions), and then come back to Tokyo in time for the Thrashout Show. I also really dig the size of these figures. And, as logang1 pointed out to me recently, they are similar in size to the standard RealxHead figures, which, in the Kaizine article, Mori suggests are large enough to hold in the palm or your hand and just stick out at the top. I think the same thinking applies to the appeal of the silghtly larger Usugrow Rebel Inks as well.
