Re: Manmachine Addiction (UPDATED: 07/28/0 jay, i really love the way your collection flows along so smoothly from toy to toy, changing by color and then style and then size and then juxtaposition......it's really masterful and stunning!
Re: Manmachine Addiction (UPDATED: 07/28/0 Thanks Lalo, Joe and Playdoh! I will miss this set-up really bad...But so excited to work on my new set-up---more space for my collection!
Re: Manmachine Addiction (UPDATED: 07/28/0 Man Jay I love your collection but how could you put your Kid Hunter away in a box Thats just not right.
Re: Manmachine Addiction (UPDATED: 07/28/0 I like the Kid Hunter very much man---I know you do too. I packed it way ahead of any other toy I thought I could transfer next month. Thanks!
Re: Manmachine Addiction (UPDATED: 07/28/0 What a great collection, Jay. At least you won't have to make tons of room for the Mini Galtan on the way!
Re: Manmachine Addiction! (Updated: 10/04/0 Had to stop hi-jacking Lorne's thread, so, I will just post my new recruits here every now and then. Spent a few days in a fishing village on the north---Limay, Bataan (about 3 hours drive , approximately, from Manila) for another documentary. Its about how this clam-like crustacean being "harvested" by some people there for daily sustenance. Nature's supply of this type of shell fish called "pa-id" became scarce in the 70's due to the unmindful environmental management of a fertilizer factory nearby. When the factory closed down after a decade, these little dudes came back! Up to now, in some areas nearby, petrol depots are being maintained and people here are a bit concerned. Met a few cool people and spent some interesting moments with these folks. Of course, I brought a few hot ones with me again--- I had to shoot the troopers slightly away from this village---the water is kinda messy (sometimes with traces of oil, and other substances due to the operation of oil depots. Ok troopers....ready to attack?! Attack!!!
Re: Manmachine Addiction! (Updated: 10/04/0 Digging for shellfish always looks fun. I hope to do that one day. In Hawaii, you usually have to pick them off the lava rocks at low tide... this looks much more enjoyable. Jay- what do the kids think of your toys? Or any of the people in the shoots, for that matter.
Re: Manmachine Addiction! (Updated: 10/04/0 The kids dig em! The first time I brought Tokoji with me on an island, and this particular bacth of Troopers---the reaction is, they are usually were elated, almost making fun of each other looking at the toy. They couldn't stop smiling at Tokoji. They like the color, how goofy it looked like and of course, its a very unique toy almost challenging their imagination probably. They also looked at these colorful Troopers giggling, I love it. I let them handle the toys for awhile if they asked me. Of course, if they asked about the toys, its usually difficult to explain. And toughest question that I get usually is----why the hell am i taking photos of them...
Re: Manmachine Addiction! (Updated: 10/04/0 Great looking setup. Lots of great pieces in there man. Those DX-Kun's are so sweet looking. Just an awesome setup and diversity.

Re: Manmachine Addiction! (10-18-0 With a couple of Red Heads Updated with a couple of Red Heads---Bemon Red I've never photographed a toy this scary. The details on this sculpt is unbelievable. In the realm of Bemons---30 is not really that limited, but you seldom see one for sale.

Re: Manmachine Addiction! (10-18-0 With a couple of Red Heads great pics, especially the bxh stuff. is the blue/white kun any rarer than the black/white one?
Re: Manmachine Addiction! (10-18-0 With a couple of Red Heads the bemon pictures pains me so. so rad... urgggh.
Re: Manmachine Addiction! (10-18-0 With a couple of Red Heads no idea if the blue kuns are rarer--but personally, o prefer the black and white, which is more basic. are you hunting a blue kun?
Re: Manmachine Addiction! (10-18-0 With a couple of Red Heads no, i actually picked up a blue kun when i was in tokyo. i had never seen one before so i figured i'd ask someone else with one.
Re: Manmachine Addiction! (10-18-0 With a couple of Red Heads Great pics Jay. That Bemon brings back the toy hunger everytime I think I can calm down a bit. The native pics are great too. Keep up the amazing work.
