This saturday at Mighty! The Godfather of techno finally comes to San Francisco. I have seen Jeff in Chicago, Germany and Los Angeles but never by the Bay. I can't fucking wait. Not sure if these old bones can still Techno like the used too but if my orange rubber pants still fit I am wearing them! If you want a taste or just need an education check the man out in action (and god bless youtube). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pf9Rr5Wrg_c I have something to be thankful for. (P.S. - Turkeys have rights too!)
that video is insane! just flipping through his records, you could see the raw talent shooting from his fingertips. thanks for sharing. how about sharing a mix tape while you're at it?
i brake for Jeff Mills. make sure to give us a full report! i've seen him a few times... all in the northeast. i don't remember the locations! derrr where do brain cells go when they die? haha
stacy pullen. haven't heard that name in YEARS! its like talking about a past life or something. i wish it wasn't like that i still follow my faves though...
I think you mean Master Reese. We saw Kevin this summer at a pool party. Living in SF is a lucky break! Sat will be the 1st time Jeff Mills has ever played here. I can't even believe that! Hopefully we can give him a great show.
ooopsss..i meant kevin sanderson........ohhh how the raving years have crept up on my old bones!!!! that is hard to believe it is jeff mills' first time in sf....i thought that he would have played every city,,town,,,and village by now
hehe, i think u mean kevin saunderson. and yes, the embattled brains of ex-ravers seem to crawl along! i know mine does i was shopping at the mall today during my lunch break and i bought a 2005 green velvet cd, mostly for old school kicks, but it was cheap so i couldn't resist. ^^
oooppsss...how did kevin saunderson turn into jeff sanderson?!?! too many years with my head in the bassbins me thinks
i feel your pain! so thats why i'm really teasing... its so easy to get your head mixed around this stuff ^^
my ears are ringing in the best possible way, he played a 3 1/2 hour set. perfection. more details when I wake up (monday).
it was packed with 30 somthings and a few whipper snappers. mills went for it and played hard ass techno for almost 4 hours. he played all the classics (the bells) and a few new tracks that were just nuts. my favorite night out this year. mills does not dissapoint.
it was seriously amazing - I think I am still sore from dancing 4 hours straight - getting old is a I FART A LOT
its nice to know hardcore JP vinyl collectors dig Detroit techno.. Jeff is a wild maniac..as are all of the detroit crew. just not enough local love anymore.. i don't blame though because they get paid to go overseas and they are treated likely rockstars
