Mike, please post pics if you got them. I cant bring myself to unbag this awesome custom !!! Seriously, this toy was meant for you !
Rich... in my haste to get him out to you, with many competing (mostly baby-centric) priorities, I took NO finished shots, I'm sorry to say. I guess bagged shots, with your photog skills, might suffice... or we could just wait until you finally unbag him....
Step off my Kool Aid Okay I will snap some pics ASAP. But just saying, this guy is awesome, run worthy in every aspect. I'm seriously mesmerized by the orb eyes Mike inserted. They look like cat eyes at night time. Like if you where to see a cat off in the distance then shined a flashlight in its direction. Its creepy that fits so well with his AMAZING paint job. The depth he achieved is amazing ! Im honored to have this in my collection. Thats why I cant unbag it, Its the total package and I would feel like by opening it I would be taking away from the over all appearance. Again Im happy
As things have progressed behind the scenes, I've come to feel that, if Rich truly doesn't want to unbag this guy to take pics in his full, non-poly-filtered glory... we should probably just wait until said "things" ...develop... a bit more fully. Hopefully we will have an update here sooner than later! (But thanks for the nudge, Kevin! )
Just remember there is no light inside this guy, thats just the light from the ceiling reflecting off the paint on the backside of the eye ! God this guy looks so crazy, I'm so lucky
Thanks, Rich! As Rich can attest, there's a lot going on with this guy, color-wise, that's not coming across so completely here; as well, the eyes... well, they really come alive in person. My goal (promise? ) with these is that they will have a shelf presence akin to the Zuni fetish in Trilogy of Terror... you just might be afraid of your bedroom door being pushed open by him one night...
To be honest I didn't know if I would like it, from the preview photo's you posted, but this guy looks terrific. From a distance, he looks murdered out, but when you get close, the details pop. It looks like you've painted some warhammer figures in the past (?). The black made for a perfect backdrop for the grey tones, and I really like the fact, that you ran in a completely different direction, with the eyes, than what was sculpted. You really made this figure your own.
