Yup, never gave me a chance to pre-order despite several $100 in purchases and sold out instantly. I kinda hate KT at this point.
Yea -- me too. But did you get the "your cart is empty" screen. If so, then that means you didn't get it. Edit - Seriously, KT must have sold all but five of everything, just to keep them available on the site for a split second when the 'release time' rolled around. I'm very disappointed that I didn't get a chance at three toys that I was trying to get. Now I'll just have to scout the aftermarket (like everyone else).
It did some wierd stuff. I bought it, went through and did all the confimation stuff then it asked me to log in again (???) I did and it went to the main screen. So who knows?
I got thru all the way ( with having to do my phone number three times) only to get dropped off after confirming the order twice. What happened? I only put that in my cart for fear it wouldn't be there if I took my time. So in less than two minutes they're gone. wow. I guess I'm underwhelmed by KT at this point. Being fairly new, there has got to be a secret to all this online ordering. Anyone got advice?
Businesses earn goodwill and they earn badwill; I"ll try not to do business with KT in the future. They've earned my badwill. The pre order lapse was frustrating and wasting my time when it looks like next to nothing was genuinely available tonight was the icing on the cake. I'll find other sources and avoid KT as often as possible.
At this point, being disgruntled and in a nerd rage, I would say 'disregard them and just look to the aftermarket.' The best way is to get in on preorders when they start. At KT, specifically, it doesn't matter at all if you have something in your cart. If you don't make it to the final step before everyone else, you're fucked. It's sort of like a race. You might be in it and think you're doing great, but if you don't get there first then you lose out.
uh guys. Half the fun?! trying to type at light speed to nail a toy thay may or may not have been avaialable on-line. Am I missing something? I sense only frustration with this analog process. Let me actually get one of these offers and I'll sit back with you and sip Pina Coladas and laugh a little. Until then, I dunno, maybe I'm just not in the right spirit for this.
the anger and disappointment will pass guys. no need to bash on KT. by the way, i missed it too.. but i really wasn't expecting to get one anyways after last nights galtan madness.
I spend enough on toys that taking my business elsewhere may mean nothing to the company owner but it gives me personal satisfaction to know my business will benefit one of their competitors. Edit: I'm not bashing Kaiju Taro I'm boycotting them, big difference. I'll support companies that don't waste my time and don't selectively distribute pre orders. If I was a new customer I wouldn't be offended by the failure to send a pre order offer but as it stands (having spent $100s with them) I'm done doing business with KT.
That's too funny. I also missed on the stuff I tried to pre-order when the on-line sale started, but I'm not going to bash or boycott KT for it. These are LIMITED figures, not loaves of Wonder Bread on aisle 4. KT is, hands down, one of the most courteous and professional e-tailers I've ever dealt with. Check your sense of entitlement at the door and get over it.
Check your sense of entitlement as to where I spend my money "at the door and get over it". I disagree with your assessment and choose not to do business with them. Message board comments won't change that. Edit: I can actually do without the item; I'm not buying this thing off YJA flippers and I'm not going to compete with you on the item on YJA. No worries.
Up to you, of course, but tie your hands like that, and you'll be singin' the YJA blues more often than not, like akum6n suggested....
I think the only thing they need to do is use a better on-line inventory system so that when something is "in your cart" it's actually IN YOUR CART. The whole rushing through check-out is a dumb way to operate when you're dealing with exclusive items. Also, it all but assures that there's no way to get multiple items - as with the Galtan set. I'll gladly do business with them - but it'd be really nice if they went the extra step for their customers and updated their on-line store.
I don't sing financial blues period; don't be so concerned with my money, I'm not. KT rarely has anything up, they charge an arm and a leg for shipping, its not a big loss for either them or me.
I've heard the same complaint about Mandarake. It's probably pretty difficult to set up a live inventory system that will track who has what in their cart, e.g., what happens when someone puts stuff in their cart and closes their browser window without ordering? I agree though, the forced 'one item snipe' can be frustrating. K-T does generally have things in inventory when they list it; it just goes really, really fast.
I suspect they had 3-5 RxH Chaos up tonight. How many were logged in refreshed exactly at midnight and had done all the confirms in under 5 seconds? Did any of those people get one tonight?
why make a bunch of post bitching about them then ! get over it, shit happens , hhe fun is in the hunt ! if you could get everything you wanted in the shopping basket this hobby would be a lot less interesting !
