As many of you know, @spacemonkey66 sadly passed away last year. His partner has reached out and asked if I could help identify and value some of the pieces from Martin's collection. Martin's aesthetic interest were diverse and ranged from modern to vintage and whilst I am familiar with some of his collection there are other parts where I may know the character but I have no idea of the maker or the value to suggest his partner offers them to the market for. I know Martin would have preferred they went into the hands of genuine collectors and also that his partner received a fair price for the pieces; therefore, with their blessing, I will be putting up any piece I am not sure about on this thread and hoping the collective experience of the SB community will be able to help both identify and value the pieces. To be clear: once a market value has been arrived at, based on input from here, I will start a sales thread and offer the pieces to SB members. However, I will not be the person selling the toy, Martin's parter will be and all the pieces are located in Australia, I have not seen them, I did not take the photographs, nor will I be handling any of the money. I am simply trying to help, honouring one of Martin's last requests, and ensure the collection goes to people who will enjoy the toys and that his partner gets a fair price for whatever they choose to sell. With respect to the sales thread, if someone shows an interest in the piece, I will put the buyer directly in touch with Martin's partner (the seller) and they can discuss the purchase directly. It is my hope that this not only helps Martin's partner but perhaps allows someone from SB to find a piece they have been looking for. I haven’t the slightest idea on suggested worth, and even my clarifying the identities of each figure here are shaky. But I’m takin’ a stab at it. First: M1Go Chiburu(or Chibull) Second: Bullmark Mognezun Third and Fourth: Medicom Astro - Mu5 reissues. First figure is Devil Bado and second is Marsman.
I picked up the same colorway M1 Chibull April 2021 for 5500 yen. That was the auction price, did not include shipping or fees. Edited to indicate accurate auction price
