Hey Folks! I wanted to share my current Matango collection and wanted to see your Matango collections! There is a lot of them out there that I do not have so I was hoping to see which ones I am missing. I am mostly focusing on my favorite sculpt, which is from M1. The 4th toy from bottom right is not a matango, it's a jumbo keshi mushie from Wonder Goblin) The M1 Matango on the top right is a custom from Wonder Goblin) Thanks!
This is my only Matango currenlty, but I would like to pick up one of the larger M1s. I really like that orange to purple fade on the top right!
I think @smo9monster has a full set. Not sure if ckubtokyo is updated. You definitely need some trikes too!
The only picture I could dredge up of one of my ceramic Matangos: Also, there's this - enjoy! http://skullbrain.org/bb/index.php?threads/matango-madness.15277/#post-998748
oh wow. I LOVE that. Miles is one of my favorite ceramic artists so I am incredibly envious of that piece!
Fantastic fungi! First time watching Matango, was stuck by several similarities with Gilligan's Island. Others have noticed the same symmetries. https://villains.fandom.com/wiki/Mushroom_People_(Matango) "In an odd coincidence (that seems entirely a coincidence), this movie was filmed and released at the same time as CBS Television was developing Gilligan's Island under Producer Sherwood Schwartz, and the two situations have seen comparison. Unlike the characters on Gilligan, who despite their many flaws, cared for each other and worked together, the yacht crew and passengers were all dark takes on the same sorts of characters; the first mate is in this case reliable but unimaginative; the Skipper despairs of his navigation failures and ends his life; the wealthy man, the lady celebrity and the writer are in essence spoiled brats with no common sense; the young unworldly girl is easily pushed around and succumbs to the mushrooms quicker than some. For the supposed genius of the group, it is all he can do to survive, and not unscathed. Like in many a survival horror scenario, the group is doomed by a complete inability to work together."
You should check out this thread: http://skullbrain.org/bb/index.php?threads/matango-checklist.39406/ The first toy listed is one that makes me cry. I had a chance to get one, but was strapped for cash at the time. I should have snagged it and eaten beans and rice for a while.
Whoa, super cool! I wonder if it was left over from when he did all the clear Matango runs years ago.
I got it! But I had to buy it on the secondary market. Worth it though because I’m trying to find every M1. I didn’t even know this existed until he posted it lol.
