This is one show I would really love to goto. Martin and Skinner's styles really compliment each other well, and I would love to see what they collaborate on. All you lucky bastards that will be attending better take lots of photos for us unfortunate ones.
does the toy release happen at the show or in the afternoon? also will I be able to shop the store during the art show or should i come by earlier in the day? sorry s7 virgin questions here
I say go by earlier because it would be easier to shop. Also make sure you check out the middle case.
Wonder if any of those Skinner paintings will find their way to the S7 web shop... I can't stop looking at his site!!!
I said it when his first show hit, I don't buy art, it's just too much money for me and I'm the type of person happy with a print or poster. BUT if I DID, I'd buy his. It's killer shit.
Skinner just got here with his pieces and my brain just exploded. Consequently I will have some things up on BST tonight. be there on saturday.
Second bit made me lol! The 3D thing Skinner talks about in the video is interesting. What're the special glasses he mentions? : Chroma-something Wonder if it would work on the PC with a pair of those old cardboard things with the red & green lenses? Uhh... nope.
Preparations for tonight as taken at 2pm today. A few favorites: MARTIN AT WORK with my son, David, admiring the display I hope they have plenty of beer tonight! And, the toys will also be there tonight -- get there early to get a ticket to buy! Looks like real fun.
If you didn't make the show, be happy you at least didn't show up late cause the line to this show was OFF THE HOOK!!!! Martin is clearly stoked....
Pics from the show here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/fiendsaint ... 781428580/ Show was awesome. Fun hanging with Martin. Nice to chat it up with Pus and Mike. Pizza with Brian was cool. Great meeting Skinner. Thanks for the shirt! Good to hang with BASK and out-of-towners. Fun times. And "hey" to Jackie! Lol. Big thanks to Michael for the ride (as always).
