In case anyone missed the news, Kim Dotcom's finances have earned him a pair of handcuffs and as such, Megavideo (along with its subsidiaries) were shut down. If you had a paid account, I hope it didn't include copyrighted material. Keep in mind the shut down was a result of embezzlement and shady finances, not necessarily due to pirating of copyrighted material.
indeed, much like al capone getting sent up for tax evasion... three cheers for anonymous' response. http://www.dangerousminds.net/comments/anonymous_takes_down_the_fbis_website_issues_new_video1
At present they're not going after downloaders, but I'm sure FBI doesn't mind "sending a message." There's probably a lot of paranoia out there today. Seeing that Kim Dotcom had a fleet of flashy cars with license plates that said things like "GUILTY" and "HACKER," I'm reminded of the mafia guys in "Goodfellas" who stupidly spent money on high-ticket clothes and cars after a big heist. "Come and get me, coppers!"
maybe people would take Anon more seriously if they stopped blasting cheesy movie soundtracks over their statements...
