Hey guys, I know alot of folks on here are into metal so I turn to you guys for some music recomendations. I've been listening to hip hop heavily for the last 3 or 4 years and am wanting to get into some new harder stuff but I have no clue where to start. I'm a fan of bands like As I Lay Dying, Pantera (older stuff, Cowboys, Vulgar, Far Beyond), older Manson, Hatebreed, Poison the Well and the like. I listened to Lamb of God today, love the music, hate the vocals. So if anyone has any recomendations for good hardcore / metal / etc. post some! thanks guys, Brandon

Humans can only stand so much awesome, it's in our genetic code. DRAGONFORCE, for example, taps into the unused portion of our brains and unravels a sixth sense to a new level of awesome that humans cannot normally experiance. When you listen to Dragonforce, you are not only listening to music, you are taking a journey to another place, another world that some can never hope to behold on their own. Like a scout sent into an unknown land, a voyager on a quest for the unknown, like a tribal Shaman on a spiritual journey. All society can hope for is that you bring back a piece of what you now have engraved upon your soul, and help free the repressed souls and minds of all civilization. And totally fucking rock out ... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mtnCcWOS7y8
When I think metal I think Slayer but you might want to check out some of these bands, most are hardcore bands with metal influences or they might just be metal bands with hardcore influences but either way I don't know if it's what you're looking for but it's some stuff I'm into: Pulling Teeth Iron Age Trash Talk Trap Them Bitter End Shitstorm Trapped Under Ice Mind Eraser Torche Mehkago N.T. Rise and Fall Iron Lung
I would heartily recommend any High on Fire and Mastodon, especially the Leviathan CD. Oh yeah, Pulling Teeth are great, nice one there.
