Whoa, that is some major restoration! What a saint. I actually had some funny feelings looking at those, because I've looked at that pic I have (somewhere) of me as a kid with it for most of my life. Definitely going to shoot those off to my mom. I'm sure she'll get a kick out of 'em to.

I was looking into this Cline guy and ran into his Foamhenge. How fantastic. Man, the stuff you can through life without ever knowing about.

Oh my god, that friggin' sucks. Seriously, what is wrong with people?

Well, at least I can say I knew about it before it came down...

Its been standing since 2004 and is made of Styrofoam, so I'm honestly amazed it survived this long, but Natural Bridge (where it sits) is becoming a national park, and therefore it needs to be removed before Aug 1, 2016. I think they are looking for a new owner to take it to another location. How big is your yard? :)

Also-Mark Cline just opened a new Dinosaur Park in VA-so check that out if you are in the area!

I live in a studio apartment, so no yard here. There are some strange woods directly behind me that I've never explored, but I doubt there'd be a clearing of sufficient size hidden back there. But, yeah, I had read into it and it surprised me it'd been around for over a decade, too. But it seems like the thing was generating tourism and publicity, even from National Geographic (!). Is that something a National Park is going to do? And even if a park makes more sense, it seems like they could've found some way to incorporate it somehow.

Actually, I was thinking it was supposed to be a State Park, but I guess a National Park would be even less likely to do something cool like that. Well, hopefully it finds a new home. Otherwise, I guess they can always make a bunch of those cheapo coolers out of it.
